| Community Tennis Challenge - 06/19/2010 | | A glorious and busy weekend! The interclub match with Chartwell Golf and Country Club was a huge success. Eight doubles (men's, mixed and women) matches and two singles matches contested on Saturday with Sea Colony pulling out a 7-3 win. Half of the ten matches were decided by third set Tie Breakers. In addition, a pro exhibition featuring Sea Colony Tennis pros Alex Justiniani and Ryan Kent and Chartwell's Adam Schagter and Jamie Peterson, was watched by the day's participants. This time Chartwell proved victorious with a hard fought 8-4 win. On Sunday an additional two singles matches and another six doubles matches were played. Once again, Sea Colony came out victorious. Besides the great tennis, all the players had a great time and we will do it again next year!

| Le Tour de Cure 2010 - 02/27/2010 | | The third annual Le Tour de Cure, held at the Freeman Fitness Center, was a tremendous success again this year as participants raised money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. |
| Snow Storm of February 5-7, 2010 - 02/09/2010 | | From February 5-7, a foot of snow fell on Sea Colony, adding to the many inches already on the ground. Crews from Sea Colony Maintenance, Housekeeping and Security worked around the clock all weekend to remove snow from common areas, as well as provide assistance to owners stranded in their units. By early Saturday afternoon, the Fitness Center reopened, and a Tennis Center weekend camp resumed. Both Tennis Director Thomas Johnston and Tennis Pro Pete Silverman were transported by Security from their homes to Sea Colony to conduct the large camp. “All of the departments and managers worked together to clear the snow, and maintain an open status throughout the storm,” said David Creighton, Sea Colony Operations Manager.
Another front may hit later today, with predictions of 8-12 inches of snow. Sea Colony staff will continue to provide the best possible support, giving assistance and working hard to resume normal operations. (Numbered photos by Rick Parrett.)

| Nor'easter - 11/12-14/2009 - 11/13/2009 | | Photos of Sea Colony's beach and waves during the Nor'easter which started November 12, 2009. Owner Sharon Yoder provided photos of downtown Bethany and West Phase 8. On Saturday, DELDOT staff responded to the standing water on Brighton Trail in W. Phase 8, which resulted from the storm and cleaned out the drainage ditch along Kent Avenue. |
| Make A Wish 2009 - 09/20/2009 | | A gentle ocean, and mild temperatures and weather enabled 650 athletes and their supporters to participate in the 26th Annual Make-A-Wish Triathlon at Sea Colony on Sunday, Sept. 20.
Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc., a nonprofit organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, was delighted with the turnout, and very appreciative of owners for the use of their community.
Familiar faces from Sea Colony participated in the triathlon, as well. Congratulations to Joe Gallagher, owner and member of the BPRR committee for participating. Relay teams included Fitness Center Spin Instructor Mary Harmon, with Mark Woodard and Rick Hundley. Jung Son, who is a Shark swim team member, a Junior Lifeguard, and one of the beach concession staff, joined owner Bob Ciprietti and Wendy Sloan in a relay team.

Owners, guests and children designed their bikes, scooters and strollers in patriotic colors. At noon, Bethany Beach hosted a parade, sponsored by local businesses, groups and organizations, including Sea Colony Recreational Association. At dusk, spectacular fireworks, launched from a barge, were visible on the Sea Colony beach. Just as the fireworks ended, a torrential downpour, with thunder and lightening, hastened departure from the beach. |
